Privacy Policy
Phone Copy Formatter — Chrome extension · Effective 2026-07-18
Phone Copy Formatter does not collect, store, transmit, or share any user data. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no network requests of any kind.
How the extension works
- When you copy text, the extension inspects it locally, inside the page, only to decide whether it is a phone number and reformat it. Copied text is never sent anywhere, never logged, and never persisted by the extension.
- Your settings (chosen country, output format, ignore lists, disabled sites) are stored via
Chrome's
storage.sync, which syncs them across your own Chrome profile. The developer has no access to them. - The extension makes zero network requests and contains no analytics or tracking of any kind. All phone-number processing uses a locally bundled library.
Permissions
- storage — saves your settings to your own Chrome profile.
- activeTab — lets the popup's "Disable on this site" button read the current tab's address; granted only when you open the popup.
